Research
Our work is concerned primarily with aquatic ecosystem change and climate change on a range of time scales, past, present and future.
|
Research Themes Our research themes are diverse but unified by our central philosophy to place contemporary environmental processes and problems in the context of longer time-scale variability. Another common theme is the effect of natural variability and the impact of human activity on natural ecosystems - especially aquatic ecosystems. |
Research projects Our staff and students are involved in a wide range of projects. These receive funding from a variety of sources including the UK research councils (especially NERC), the European Union, the Leverhulme Foundation and the UK environmental and conservation agencies. |
